The result of Piero Ambrogio Busnelli's idea, C&B was established as a joint venture between Cassina and Busnelli in 1966, and soon began to revolutionise the upholstered furniture sector. In 1973, B&B Italia was officially started, followed by Maxalto in 1975. After important partnerships with leading designers including Antonio Citterio, Gaetano Pesce, Mario Bellini, and Patricia Urquiola, a golden era began for the company. Since 2021, Piero Lissoni has been the Art Director of B&B Italia.
