For over 50 years, Driade charmes us with its extravagance that expresses in a never-ending intention to be innovative and to be always better.
Driade catches a time that is not too much future and not still past, it’s a modernity that attracts all our senses with non-conventional materials, shapes and ideas.
Its eyes look ahead and, since its creation in 1968, Driade has been a pioneer for tastes and trends. The Costes chair is an example: designed by Philippe Starck in the 80’s, it became immediately an icon and it is still produced and required. Moreover, the Nemo armchair, made by Fabio Novembre, who is now the art director: this piece has a big face as backrest, a mask with open eyes to see the preferred portion of the reality. In its catalogue, we also find the unique Roly Poly armchair, the Toy chair, the Venus bookshelf, the Koishi coffee table, a rich and various collection of eclectic and sophisticated objects. In 2008, Driade received the Compasso d’Oro award with the MT3, a swing armchair designed by Ron Arad with an innovative technology that lets the surface has two different colors, patterns and textures. In 2020 Driade won the Wallpaper Design Award for the "best block party" category thanks to Totem Shelf, created by Big for Driade. Thanks to the cooperation with designers as Naoto Fukasawa, Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, Vittorio Locatelli, Neri and Hu, Faye Toogood, the brand founded by Enrico Astori wants to be a brilliant mirror of the contemporary evolving society.
