Bright Spot Suspension Lamp
Bright Spot is a collection of lamps proposed by the Nordic Tales brand. Bright Spot was originally designed for Aarhus airport as part of a renovation project, as the airport wanted to renovate itself when Aarhus was named European Capital of Culture in 2017. The collection is made of opal glass. Available in brass or with a chrome finish, with a cream or black cord.
Bright Spot is a reinterpretation of the classic coffee lamp known for illuminating urban Parisian cafes, creating a soft and environmental light. Nordic Tale has kept the warm splendor but has combined the Parisian chic aesthetic with a Nordic minimalism creating an almost clinical design, with only a hint of Parisian nostalgia. The lampshade is made of opal glass with a point incorporated in metal in two different versions: you can choose the classic point in brass or be among the first to have a bright spot with the new point in chrome finish. The removable metal part not only creates an eye-catching contrast with the simple glass sphere, but also completes the expression of the lamp by forming a closed globe. Furthermore, the unpainted brass point creates a dynamic lamp that changes over time as it creates its natural patina. The long and dark Scandinavian winter makes good lighting an absolute necessity, but lamps are much more than just illuminators. They are an important part of the story that tells of your home. The soft lines and contrasting materials of this modern design transform a daily function into a highly aesthetic experience. With its simple but surprising expression, Bright Spot can be used both as a repetitive element in a room or as an isolated piece. The Bright Spot collection was originally designed for Aarhus airport as part of a complete renovation as the airport wanted to renovate on its own when Aarhus was named European Capital of Culture 2017. Today more than 200 light spots illuminate the halls and airport walkways.
