Gaetano Pesce - Office

Born in La Spezia in 1939, Gaetano Pesce is an Italian sculptor, designer and architect. His works are emblems of a “polyglot” design, in which there are no borders between different disciplines, which mix in a hybrid and personal language, impossible to classify. This is how great icons such as the UP5 armchair and the UP6 pouf are born: the most famous of the Up series, a family of seven models of polyurethane foam armchairs in collaboration with C&B (today B&B Italia) and the colorful Fish Design series, consisting of vases and jewels with playful shapes in fiberglass.

Flexible, sophisticated, adaptable designs to stimulate creativity and productivity in your office environment. Mohd’s furnishing solutions for home offices and large work spaces are based on the principles of elegance, functionality, innovation and ergonomics.

For Gaetano Pesce, design is "a living entity, with a multi-mullet body", that can be planned, personal and multilingual.
In the first part of his life, after studying architecture at the IUAV in Venice, Pesce meets Milena Vettore, with whom he founded the “N” group, where they deal with kinetic and serial art. In his youth, Gaetano Pesce understood that design can be a "much deeper and more important language": he thus began to travel and to confront with different cultures, implementing a multidisciplinary, innovative approach made up of opposites and contradictions.
