Jacques Emile Ruhlmann
The designer Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, born in Paris in 1879, was an interior designer and furniture maker who gained widespread fame in Europe around the 1920s. Ruhlmann's furniture was particularly refined and luxurious, renewing the splendor of the Parisian cabinet-making of the time of Louis XV in an elegant modern interpretation, using precious techniques and materials. Standing out amongst his historical creations is Lalou, the table mirror created in 1928 for the La Chance brand by the master of Art Deco.
