Jean Nouvel
Jean Nouvel is one of the most important French architects and designers of our time. He is famous for his buildings, which have revolutionised the French architectural landscape, like the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac and many more. His design creations reflect his architectural vision: this is evident in the furniture produced for Molteni&C, such as the LessLess table and coffee table, the Skin sofa and armchairs.

His work does not result from considerations of style or ideology, but from a quest to create a unique concept for a singular combination of people, place and time.
The designer was born in 1945 in Fumel, France. Passionate about art, he studied at the École Nationale Supérieure de Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1972 and later opened his own studio. His desire to develop an "architectural design" is also reflected in his lighting creations, like the colourful and original On Lines table lamp for Nemo and the Objective for Artemide. As a result of his brilliant talents, Jean Nouvel has received numerous international prizes and awards.
