Max Huber
Max Huber (1919-1992) is among the most important graphic designers of the 20th century. Born in Switzerland, he worked a lot in Italy and especially in Milan. He collaborated with several illustrious companies and publishers, and in the 1950s he made his mark in the world of graphics. During that period he met Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and shared, with his archigraphic project, the conception of numerous installations.
He created the graphic project for the VIII Triennale in Milan in 1947 with Albe Steiner.

Max Huber applied the aesthetics of the European avant-garde and Rationalism to graphic design, creating some unique works.
Born in Baar, he studied graphic design at Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich, where he met many Swiss graphic designers and artists. He moved to Milan in 1940, where he worked for the famous Antonio Boggeri's graphic studio and met Bruno Munari, Luigi Veronesi and Albe Steiner. He later became a lettering and graphics teacher at "La Rinascita" school and other Milan-based institutions. From 1978 to 1984 Max Huber was also a professor in Lugano, Switzerland. He died in November 1992.
