Robert Dudley Best
Robert Dudley Best (1892-1984) was a British designer, heir of one of the most acclaimed lighting companies of the world, Best & Lloyd, founded in Birmingham in 1840. In spite of his proud creation and renowned collaborations, the designer was interested in shaping a new, modern vision of design, a symbol of the contemporary age. The design by Robert Dudley Best is marked by some rigorous lines and a clean style, typical of the Bauhaus movement.
