With the sublime 416 series, launched by Artifort in 1960, the famous designer Kho Liang Ie made a clear statement that he was ahead of his time. On his journey of discovery undertaken in the rigorous social bonds of the late 1950s, he sought the contrast between soft and rigid structures.
