"The research on the 2020 collection began a year earlier and has undergone changes in the course of construction":  Baxter thus tells how the planning process of the new collection has rightly undergone adjustments in light of the event that swept the world. This change of direction took place in the name of comfort and beauty, which are, after all, genetic characteristics of Baxter. And by observing the elements of the new collection, we have the feeling that this is one of those cases in which a critical issue has been transformed into an opportunity to show the best of the company. And therefore the ability to choose creatives able to read the spirit of the time, today more important than ever, and knowing how to interpret the direction given by the company: working on comfort and on shapes that were soft and reassuring. This without ever sacrificing beauty, with very accurate chromatic research and with attention to high quality materials. The genesis of this collection was different from all the others, yet the result is excellent, ideal for giving new inspiration to living spaces, in a more conscious and profound way. The collection was signed in part by the company design office and in part by the designers with whom Baxter has been collaborating for some time: Draga & Aurel, Paola Navone, Federico Peri, Pietro Russo and Studio Pepe. On the cover: the Milano sofa and the Piombino coffee table by Paola Navone and the Himani carpet from Baxter's R&D department.

Draga & Aurel

Draga Obradovic and Aurel Basedow design the Brigitte sofa (and armchair), the Leon swivel armchair and the Googie light for Baxter. They wanted to put on the field, the desire, despite everything, to play and sensuality by focusing on more “curvy”, plump and comfortable shapes. Which stand out in the Brigitte line but also in the Leon swivel armchair and in the Googie light evocative of the 60s and that desire and determination for rebirth that could be precious in the near future. Paola Navone

A sofa, Milan, "made of cushions", designed always having in mind the sensation that the user would have experienced while sitting down. Soft, enveloping but also supported and cared for in every detail, in every fold that the fabric takes and in every finish. And the same goes for the swivel chair.

Federico Peri

Sinuous geometries, rounded edges and soft curves characterize the elements designed by Federico Peri for the new Baxter collection. The headboard of the Stone bed recalls stones smoothed by water, the Tunnel lamps generate indirect light that gently illuminates the environment. Pietro Russo

The research on the pure shapes of the circle and the cylinder are the starting point for the elements designed by Pietro Russo for Baxter. Sections, compartments, unexpected movements of these shapes generate furnishings and accessories that activate the dynamics with the user, suggesting new, unexpected, uses. Studiopepe

Baxter collections by Studio Pepe

Matter is the theme of Studiopepe's collection for Baxter, which uses glass fusing, raw concrete, marble, interpreted with the usual contemporary elegance that characterizes the designers. Milan is the formal inspiration: the Azzal bookcase evokes the Pirellone layout, the Nanda wall lights are a tribute to Nanda Vigo, the Verre Particulier tables are inspired by the Milanese concierges.
