Ironic and colorful, cheerful and welcoming, Room Mate Giulia in Milan immediately reveals the unmistakable style of those who "dressed" it. The interior of the boutique hotel in via Silvio Pellico, a few meters from Piazza del Duomo, was in fact signed by the eclectic Patricia Urquiola , who focused on a mix of contemporary patterns, vintage quotes, traditional materials and works by Milanese artists.

It was 1959 when the engineer Roberto Fernandes commissioned the architect Gio Ponti  to convert an eighteenth-century building immersed in a 27-hectare park on the Sorrento coast into a hotel. A few years later, in 1962, the Parco dei Principi was born: one of the first design hotels in the world. A historical address that, after almost sixty years, continues to enchant with its ceramics that recall the seascapes and that of authentic Italian 1950s design. Without forgetting the seawater swimming pool immersed in the botanical park: for Gio Ponti, "a body of water for wood nymphs".

Rimini, DuoMo Hotel

Unusual coatings and shapes, with futuristic and at times provocative details, distinguish the duoMo hotel in Rimini. Inaugurated in 2006, it bears the signature of the Israeli archistar Ron Arad  who has chosen materials such as corian, teak, resin, bronze and polished steel. Many design names have been chosen for the furnishings, from Moroso  to B&B Italia , from Vitra  to Kartell  and Molteni & C .
