The idea of flight as a metaphor for creative freedom is the conceptual fabric from which the products in the new 2020 Tacchini  collection arise – emblematic of emancipation from fleeting fashions and the celebration of timeless, decontextualized creative intuition. Located in the vast expanses of the Turin Aero Club, at the foot of the Alps, the place where the application of the rigors of engineering and the art of knowing how to observe the world from unconventional perspectives intersect. In contrast to the orderly geometry of the hangars and control towers, the Tacchini collection dialogs with the disciplined architecture of the aeronautic club, playing up the soft contours of the upholstered furniture and accessories. Tacchini unveils the culture of beauty that is based on research and designs, ideas, arts and people. It showcases the dual spirit of the brand – the comfort of traditional methods, artisanal excellence that has consistently made Tacchini a benchmark in the Made in Italy landscape and outlines its fundamental values, and its innovative vision projected into the future, led by the pure ideal of creativity in all its forms, and determined to constantly transform itself in the quest for as yet unexplored horizons.

Polar Alcove by Tacchini

Polar Alcove is a seating system inspired by the blocks of ice that float in the waters of the Northern seas. Abundant volumes and oblique cuts form islands of total relaxation thanks to the new high backrest that creates a secluded and intimate space. The seat can also be equipped with an accessory, the USB port, making it a strategic ally to carve out maximum comfort without sacrificing the advantages of contemporary technology.

Matera by Tacchini

Entering an imaginary tour of new creative scenarios, you enter the extraordinary urban ecosystem that are the Sassi of Matera. The Matera modular system designed by the Maltese designer Gordon Guillaumier  is composed of padded elements with full volumes, which can be used individually or intersected with each other. The composition is completed with shelves in wood, marble or covered in fabric, equipped with wireless chargers at the meeting point between the seats. The Matera family is designed for contract areas with the intention of creating informal chairs that become islands of conversation, waiting, meeting and work.

Five to Nine (on the cover), designed by Studiopepe , was inspired by the furnishings that traditionally made up the ateliers of the artists of the early 1900s. Composed of a series of roller cushions arranged along its entire length, this daybed plays with the expressiveness of its volumes thanks also to the possible upholstery: in leather, it winks at the essential Bauhaus style, in mohair velvet it envelops and cuddles.

Julep by Tacchini

Organic and dynamic in shape, the new Julep, by designer Jonas Wagell , is a natural extension of the best-selling range already in the catalog, both in terms of functionality and aesthetics. The updated model in size and with even more pronounced asymmetrical qualities, takes on the appearance of a chaise-longue, combined with an even larger and more enveloping circular pouf.

Soap by Tacchini

Already the brand's best seller, the Soap coffee tables by Gordon Guillaumier  take on an even more contemporary look thanks to the two new wood and metal finishes, which are added to the original version with marble top. Furnishings with discreet elegance, the tables are available in two configurations and lend themselves to enriching domestic as well as contract spaces.

Tacchini Edizioni by Tacchini

The Tacchini Edizioni collection offers a careful selection of designer accessories, lighting products and small furnishings that interact with the surrounding architectural space in a graceful narrative, completing the domestic views with delicate elegance. The A.D.A. lamp, designed by the great master Umberto Riva , is born from a simple shape and owes its strength to the material: fiberglass, which reveals the fibers it is made of, thus giving consistency to the light. The Aqua Regis amphora takes its name from the famous alchemical solution capable of melting gold. In engobed semi-refractory and made on a lathe, the amphora has a soft structure with a single wide lateral handle, with a large support surface at the base.
