Emu Re-Trouvé Armchair White

A collaboration between EMU and Patricia Urquiola was born Re-Trouvé, a collection of metal furnishings that takes a classic design and reinterprets it with extreme irony. 

Curled up iron rod which used to enrich and adorn handcrafted armchairs in bygone days are now made with an industrial process which produces furnishing distinguished by complex patterns with a row of diamond shapes, thanks to EMU’s advanced technology in working metal. The geometry of the design gives a three-dimensional look to the objects whose curvilinear profile outlines sweet and sensual furnishings characterised by the elegance of former times. Chair, armchair and pouff are made of hot-dipped pre-galvanised rod, while the seat is in steel tube and ironed sheet metal. Re-Trouvé comes in six fashionable colours. To prove the flexibility of the industrial process utilised to realise furnishings in the Re-Trouvé family, the starting element of the armchair becomes the structure of the table and the large vase.
