Hay Arbour Eco Sofa

Arbour Eco is a sofa designed by Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken for Hay. Available in five finishes for the structure and a wide range of fabrics for the cushions.

Arbour is the first sofa certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel of Denmark, a sofa with a strong Scandinavian identity, with a simple and essential design and with particular attention to the materials used, at the same time of the highest quality and respectful of the environment. Arbour Eco in fact uses Oeko-Tex foam, fabrics with EU quality mark and FSC certified wood; designed and built to last over time, this goal is pursued by making sure that each part of the sofa can be disassembled and repaired individually, without reaching the entire replacement of the sofa, an economically disadvantageous and above all unsustainable solution. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel guarantees that its products are free of harmful chemicals such as phthalates, heavy metals, brominated flame retardants and fluorinated substances; in addition, the products also have requirements relating to use, disposal and recycling.
In terms of design, Arbour Eco is characterized by its structure with a decisive but elegant profile, and by the seat and back cushions, made with perfectly balanced proportions; a logical construction and an ordered compositional language, typical of Scandinavian design.

Materials:
Structure in FSC certified wood in solid wood and plywood with elastic straps. Pillows with Oeko-tex foam core with a foam and feather duvet. Fabrics with the EU eco-label. Nordic Swan Ecolabel & FSC® certified.
