Their pieces stand out for their modern, simple and wonderfully revolutionary appeal.
Afra Bianchin was born in 1937 in Montebelluna, and Tobia, Carlo Scarpa’s son, was born in Venice in 1935. They both studied at Venice’s IUAV, where they graduated in architecture. After Tobia Scarpa's collaboration with Venini, the two designers fell in love while attending a course on decoration taught by Franco Albini in 1959. A professional and romantic spark that led to great projects and collaborations, such as those with Cassina, B&B Italia, Molteni&C, Flos, Maxalto and more.
