Alessandro Mendini

Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was one of the great italian designers, architects and artists of postmodern design between the โ€˜60s and โ€˜70s. His revolutionary, visionary and ironic style is concretized in artworks destined to become real design icons. Among them, the Proust armchair for Magis, a work of Re-Design characterized by a romantic, baroque and distinctly ludic style and the world-famous Anna G. bottle openers for Alessi , for which he also was meta-project consultant.

Alessandro Mendini elaborated theories and concepts about postmodern design, banal design and re-design.
