Fulvio Bianconi

Fulvio Bianconi (Padua, 1915 – Milan, 1996) was a graphic, illustrator and designer, among the greatest artists involved in a collaboration with Venini in the 50s. His creative flair gave life to iconic pieces, such as the brilliant Fazzoletto vase in 1948, designed in partnership with Paolo Venini, one of the symbols of the company and exhibited in several museums across the world. Fulvio Bianconi was a great polyhedral artist, a great exhibition was settled in his honour with over 300 pieces: “Le stanze del vetro”, held in Venice in 2016 and directed by Marino Barovier.

Fulvio Bianconi gave rise to new glass movements and colours that redraw the bond between tradition and modernity.

After settling in Milan, Fulvio Bianconi worked as a graphic and illustrator, frescoing later the Galtrucco shops and the pavilions of the Fiera Campionaria, and arousing his interest and passion towards glassmaking at the same time. A crucial moment for both: Bianconi’s creativity was highly appreciated, marking a turning point in the evolution of the Venini brand.
