Man Ray
American born Man Ray was a true artist in every sense, a photographer, painter, sculptor, film maker and designer, a leading figure in the international Dada movement and a highly influential and exceptionally creative figure. His extensive career spanned over 60 years with the 1920s and 30s spent in Paris where he invented the rayogramme, unique images created without the use of a camera and designed the artwork Les Grands Trans-Parents, eventually reproduced as a mirror by the Italian furniture brand Cassina in 1971.
