Masanori Umeda

Masanori Umeda is an important designer of the Japanese artistic scenario. Among his most important projects are the Tawaraya bed for Memphis, the lamp designs for Yamagiwa and workspace toilets. His creations are defined as postmodern, poetic and ironic and his style represents a perfect synthesis between West and East. Of note is his Rose Chair by Edra, a voluptuous masterpiece with soft petals, all handmade and luxuriously upholstered in velvet.

Masanori Umeda is the creator closest to the sphere of design, but characterized by a strong sense of the poetic.
