Max Huber
Max Huber (1919โ1992) was a Compasso dโoro award-winning designer and one of the 20th centuryโs most influential figures in the world of graphic design. Of Swiss origin, his vast and varied career saw him spend considerable time in Milan, the centre of the Italian avant-guard movement. Post war he became head of graphic design at Giulio Einaudi Editore, coming into contact with artists, designers and intellectuals such as Cesare Pavese, Elio Vittorini, Ettore Sottsass and Achille Castiglioni.
With a passion for experimentation, Max Huber turned the mundane into the marvelous with his dynamic creative style.

Huberโs varied portfolio of work encompassed a variety of creative fields including illustration, photography and typography. He was involved with several key projects including the creation of the official catalogue cover for the 1947 'Arte astratta concreta' exhibition at Milanโs Palazzo Reale. During his lifetime he worked with key Italian organisations such as La Rinascente, Monza Autodrome, Olivetti and RAI for which he gained praise and recognition for his inspiring experimental design approach.
