For Mari, design is primarily a project, and the project analyzes the object in its relationship with the rest of the world, so it must be simple, repairable, recyclable, sustainable. Enzo Mari plays an important role in the history of Italian design also for his activity as a theorist, which he has always supported an active political commitment.
