GamFratesi designers
GamFratesi designers is a well-matched pair, born in 2006, who aim to create a youthful and functional design. Stine Gam was born in Denmark in 1975 and Enrico Fratesi, 1978, in Italy. They express the European style and the culture and tradition of craftsmanship and conceptual design. The Italian tradition embraces classic Danish manufacturing to give life to a unique style, learning from the past and looking forward the future.
Formed in the field of architecture, with a Masters in Industrial Design and Furniture, they stand out for great attention to details, practicality and balance of parts and materials. Eccentricity and minimalist decor live together in a youthful furniture, that is inspired by everyday life. Colourful and original items hide their true function, but looking always for new trends.
GamFratesi’s creations, true icons of design, are requested over the world.
The inspiration for the Beetle Chair, designed by GamFratesi for Gubi, came from the insect world, full of shapes and colours. Comfort and functionality are the basis of the seats. Each chair presents an upholstered shell and backrest with a steel structure.
Masculo Chair, also designed by the duo for Gubi, is a light and elegant solution in a perfect balance with any context. Classic Danish design meets a modern world of materials and innovative techniques. This original creation received the “Good Design Award” in 2012.
They seem to be a fluctuating items with their particular design, the Meduse coffee tables, realized for Casamania. Their shape reminds a jellyfish with a round lacquered steel structure and painted legs.
GamFratesi collaborates with many international companies, including Swedese, Ligne Roset, Gubi, Fontana Arte, Lightyears, Fredericia, Casamania, Galerie Maria Wettergren One and Nordic. They won many important prizes as: "Best Young Design products by Bernhard Design" in 2006 and "Best Young Designer Talent 2013", received by Elle Decor. Their creations are the protagonists of the most important international fairs, in which they always express deep meanings through an extremely sophisticated and innovative language.
