Over three hundred events including exhibitions, installations, workshops, showroom openings and much more. This is also how Milan returns to being the capital of creativity. Or at least he tries, with all his might. Until 10 October, the streets of the Milanese city host Milano Design City: a sort of autumn design week (even if technically it lasts two weeks) designed to support the made in Italy furniture, this year orphan of the Salone del Mobile, and at the same time relaunch Milan as a reference point for the culture of design. Among the many initiatives on the calendar, here are the exhibitions not to be missed.

Superstudio puts female creativity between art, design, architecture and craftsmanship at the center of its programming. It does so with “In the hands of women”: an exhibition project consisting of two complementary exhibitions. “I fiori della materia”, curated by Gisella Borioli, brings together designers and architects of different ages and backgrounds who present their work with objects of furniture, sculpture and architecture. “Fragile Narcisi”, on the other hand, by Sabino Maria Frassà, is an in-depth study on the beauty and precariousness of human existence.

Housed in the courtyard of Cesare Correnti 14, in the 5Vie district, it takes the visitor into a jungle-like environment to tell about problems such as extreme humidity and the invasion of mosquitoes, explain the damage caused by the wrong monoculture and show sustainable objects made with materials such as banana leaves or bamboo.
