Marteen Sofa Collection
Marteen is a multifunctional seating and storage system designed by Vincent Van Duysen for the Molteni brand. A harmony of perfectly balanced volumes in an alternation of solids and voids.
The Marteen sofa, by Vincent Van Duysen, expresses a new way of experiencing conviviality that satisfies the most dynamic interpretations of space while remaining aware of the continuous evolution of the world of living. Marteen, destined to become a classic, stands out for its strong modern personality and its elegance, as well as for its great versatility. The infinite possibilities of composition are expressed in the creation of linear, corner or island solutions thanks to the combination of the different elements. The armrest element defines the project and gives rhythm to its structure, acting both as a support point and as a container. The upper part, always in eucalyptus or thermo oak, contrasts with the lower part in matt copper lacquer. The back cushions guarantee additional seating comfort. The system is suspended from the ground thanks to pewter-colored blade feet.
