Semi Pendant Ø60 designed in 1968 by Torsten Thorup and Claus Bonderup collection of seeds Gubi, it is a pendant lamp in enamelled metal with a shape based on two quarter circles. Modernity and lightness together.
Reacting against the '' age friendly 'dominating Denmark at that time, Bonderup and Thorup wanted to create a lamp that incorporated sharp clean lines and a geometric shape. Their design has been submitted to a competition at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture, where he won the first premio.Semi is a pendant lamp only, based on two quarter circles put together back-to-back. With its distinctive arch, the enameled metal shade, the simplicity of the form and the unique design and timeless lamp Seeds has achieved great success in 1980 and became, at that time, the best-selling Danish design, getting recognition world-wide.
