Art director Carolina Nisivoccia founded Atelier des Refusés in Milan, drawing inspiration from the Salon de refusés from the Napoleonic era. With more than twenty years of experience in interior design and brand design, the brilliant artist decided to create a brand based on an intuition: to collect, following the example of the French salon, all high-quality "textile scraps" and turn them into refined and impactful cushions.
