In 1946, Enrico Cappellini opened a small furniture workshop in Carugo, near Milan. The entrance of Giulio Cappellini into the business totally revolutionized the furniture panorama, with brilliant collaborations and a marked tendency to innovation and customization. Among the contemporary classics produced by the company, the Embryo chair by Marc Newson, the Orla armchair by Jasper Morrison and the many versions of the Gong table have made the history of Italian design.
