Founded in Murano in 1981, Foscarini is a company that specializes in lighting design. Among its first collaborators, there are Carlo Ubinati and Alessandro Vecchiato, who quickly became its owners and managers. In 1990 the first big success arrives with Lumiere, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, followed by Ferruccio Laviani’s Orbital and Jozeph Forakis' Havana. In 2000, with the collaboration of Marc Sadler, the company launches Mite and Tite lamps, soon awarded the prestigious “Compasso d’Oro" for their "decisive technological innovation." In 2005 Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto sign the next success, Caboche lamp, and the company produces two other famous models: Twiggy by Marc Sadler and Gregg by L + R Palomba. Meanwhile, Foscarini continues to innovate and new projects are launched, such as “Foscarini Inspire” installations, “Fare Lume” exhibition and a collaboration with Diesel. In little more than 30 years, Foscarini managed to obtain many successes worldwide thanks to the likes of Philippe Nigro, Marco Zito, Kamir Rashid, Nendo, Giulio Iacchetti e Luca Nichetto. “More than lamps, pure emotions”, with Foscarini, which is Mohd’s partner.
