The brand was founded by Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche in 1986. Serax started out as a small business in a garage and has now grown into a multinational company based in Antwerp. Axel's wife, Marie Michielssen, is the in-house Serax designer and the author of the famous 'Cactus Vase'. For the design of harmonious indoor spaces, the company relies on the talent of brilliant artists and teams such as Anita Le Grelle, Ottolenghi, Ann Demeulemeester, Vincent Van Duysen, Paola Navone and Piet Boon.
