Alessandro Mendini
Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was one of the great italian designers, architects and artists of postmodern design between the ‘60s and ‘70s. His revolutionary, visionary and ironic style is concretized in artworks destined to become real design icons. Among them, the Proust armchair for Magis, a work of Re-Design characterized by a romantic, baroque and distinctly ludic style and the world-famous Anna G. bottle openers for Alessi, for which he also was meta-project consultant.
Alessandro Mendini elaborated theories and concepts about postmodern design, banal design and re-design.
