Luminary, extraordinary and original, creator of over 1,500 works, Enzo Mari will be remembered forever as a "giant" of Made in Italy design.
He was born in Novara in 1932, he studied at the Brera Academy and in the 1950s he took part in the avant-garde movements. He participates in many solo and group exhibitions, including the Venice Biennal and the Milan Triennal. The “Proposta per un’autoprogettazione” leaves a mark in the history of design, the exhibition presented in 1974 in the Milan Gallery, in which Enzo Mari presents a series of drawings and instructions for creating "do-it-yourself" furniture. The designer dies on October 19 2020 and his works are exhibited in the most important art and design museums in the world.
