Ferruccio Laviani

Born in Cremona in 1960, Ferruccio Laviani is a famous Italian designer who works in the field of architecture, product design, interior design, art direction and graphic. After studying at Politecnico of Milan, he graduated in 1986. Later, in 1991 he opened his first studio in Milan and the same year he became the art director of Kartell. He worked in this role also for Flos, De Padova, Foscarini, Moroso, Society (Limonta) and Emmemobili. His style, his way of conceiving art and design brings him to realize extra-ordinary works, such as Bourgie lamp realized by Kartell, Considered one of the timeless best sellers, perfect mix among tradition, innovation and a glimpse of irony. Both Bourgie lamps and Take lamps are part of the permanent collection of the Art Museum of Indianapolis in the USA. Other products are shown in museums and international exhibitions. Today Laviani still works for numerous prestigious brands spreading his design uniqueness worldwide.
