Gio Ponti

Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was an illustrious architect, designer, teacher and writer who had a lasting impact on 20th century art. He was a man of many talents, whose career spanned a variety of areas, helping Italians rediscover their appreciation for art during a difficult post-war era. His works in the realm of design include the famous 699 Superleggera chair created for Cassina and the exquisite ceramic collections for Ginori 1735.
