Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, better known as Le Corbusier, was a renowned Swiss architect, urban planner and designer. His rational yet creative approach to design left a lasting impression on the 20th century. His incredible talent is seen in works like Villa Savoye, Notre Dame du Haut chapel and the Capitol Complex, as well as in iconic pieces like the 4 Chaise Longue ร Reglage Continu or in the timeless furniture he designed with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand for Cassina.
His visionary style and method made him one of the pioneers of modern architecture.

Le Corbusier, born in 1887 in Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, left behind a wide variety of creations ranging from architecture to interior design. His works are mainly known for their simple, functional forms that are still being studied by new architects and designers all over the world. During the years of his successful career, he collaborated extensively with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. He died in 1965 in Cap Martin, France, but his work lives on.
