Paola Navone

Intrepid, brilliant and eclectic, Paola Navone is an Italian designer, architect, art director, interior designer, essayist, teacher. She expresses her dreaming soul through her pieces, from indoor and outdoor furniture to home decor and lighting solutions. Passionate about travelling and culture, her projects are strongly influenced by the Eastern tradition. Among her greatest successes there are the Chester Moon sofas and armchairs for Baxter, the Rafael outdoor collections for Ethimo, InOut, Ghost, Brick, Jeko and the Brass 95 suspension lamps for Gervasoni.

Paola Navone won several international awards, marking the history of Made in Italy design with her pieces.

Paola Navone was born in 1950 and in 1973 she graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin, her hometown. She collaborated with Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass Jr. and Andrea Branzi in the Alchimia group, becoming an icon of Italian design. In 1988 she founded Cappellini Mondo with Giulio Cappellini and since 1998 she has been the artistic director of Gervasoni, for which he personally designs most of the collections. She collaborates with other illustrious international brands such as Baxter, Knoll, Ethimo, Emu, Driade, Riva 1920, De Rosso, FontanaArte, Alessi, Serax and many more.
