Tom Dixon Designer
Tom Dixon, born in 1959, has blood Tunisian but mood in London. Grows and is shaped in the British capital in 1985 and produces the famous S-Chair for the brand Cappellini, permanently exhibited at the MoMa in New York. She opened her own studio and started to create products on a small scale always thinking big. A first great success of the company is the table lamp Jack in 1994, the year of 2003, however, the brilliant Mirror Ball. In 2000 he became a Member of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2007 he was awarded Best Retail Design in Condé Nast Awards. Dixon became head of design at Habitat in 1998, working for Artek in 2004 and is now creative director of 100% Design and directs the Tom Dixon Design Research Studio, which he founded.
