Vico Magistretti
Ludovico "Vico" Magistretti (1920-2006), his considered one of the fathers of Italian Design, he was an Italian designer and architect. Originally come from a family of architects, he began his studies in Switzerland and then graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan in 1945. Afterwards, towards the end of the 60s, he work with Artemide, creating the iconic Eclisse lamp (1967, Compasso d'Oro Award). Next, with Oluce he created the Atollo lamp, which became part of the furnishings of many houses representing the Made in Italy in the world. He has been defined as father of many "classic" objects identified in contemporary production. Magistretti has collaborated with international brands such as DePadova, Flou, Kartell, Cassina, Acerbis, Serralunga, Nemo and others.
