Egg is the famous armchair designed in 1958 by the great designer Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen & Sons. In this version, The Egg footrest by Jacobsen. Fully upholstered with a wide range of fabrics and leathers. The aluminum base is mounted on a satin polished steel plinth. The shell is polyurethane foam with fiberglass reinforcement, padded with cold cured polyurethane foam.
We are talking about one of the most famous and important objects in the history of international design. The Egg lounge chair is one of Jacobsen's design triumphs, a sculptural contrast to the almost exclusively vertical and horizontal surfaces of buildings. Egg Chair is the result of a new technique, which Jacobsen was the first to use: a strong foam shell under the padding. Originally designed for the lobby of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, this beautiful chair exudes a timeless charm and elegance, which encompasses the path of the designer, between the avant-garde of neo-romanticism De Stijl, the avant-garde instances of Bauhaus and the rigor of the Scandinavian style. Discover originality and a sophisticated and timeless design thanks to the fabrics chosen for Egg, and let yourself be seduced by its sculptural curves that will accompany you for generations.
In this version: Egg Footrest - Leather Spectrum 30109 Rust
