Lapo Ciatti, CEO and artistic director of Opinion Ciatti, a luminous star in the constellation of Italian design brands, was also the one who gave the company this name. The representative of the third generation of a lively entrepreneurial family, Lapo Ciatti joined the team with a degree in Industrial Design in 2006, when the brand was still called CCR design, and enhanced the importance of the word "opinion". That's how Opinion Ciatti became the expression of a personal and daring view on the world of design, conceived as a testing ground, "a form of expression applied to everyday objects."

Opinion Ciatti today aims to develop an all-round lifestyle, signing collections for domestic and public environments that stand out for their strong character. Each one represents a contemporary and flesible way of life (the birth of OC bespoke, consecrated to the design of unique pieces according to customer requirements, didn't happen by chance) and is inspired by the past to anticipate future trends. #FollowYourRoots 2016, in particular, takes its inspiration from the city of Florence, home for Opinion Ciatti, and collects suggestions from the Middle Ages, a fascinating era that continues to live in the city's monuments. On the 50th anniversary of the flood that submerged Florence in 1966, this tribute collection translates the beauty of Middle Ages into new items and reissues that are perfectly at ease in contemporary settings.

As Degabello stool, a new object signed by Lapo Ciatti for the 2016 catalogue. Essential but elegant thanks to its precious finish in solid olive ash wood embellished by hand-forged metal decorations, Degabello is inspired by a historical episode happened in 802 AD, the popular uprising known as "la grande sgabellata", during which wooden stools were stools thrown in the air as a sign of protest against the introduction, by the Emperor Charlemagne, of a charge that abruptly replaced the 17 repealed only days before.

Always in solid olive ash wood, ILtavolo Wood2 is a new intepretation of the project launched in 2015.

The bergère Guelfo by Lapo Ciatti is another obvious homage to the Middle Ages, and in 2016 the collection is expanded with a sofa and is enriched with a warm and precious upholstery in black velvet.

One of the brand's icons, the coat hanger La cima3, comes now in a new finish, sand. It will bring the charming world of fishermen and sailors into your home.

Last but not least, we couldn't avoid mentioning a project by Marcello Ziliani that was reinterpreted by Lapo Ciatti, the now iconic Mammamia chair. An object with a thousand faces, all amazing. As the very idea of a mother. Welcoming, versatile. To each his onw. Lapo Ciatti signed three versions of this so essential yet so extraordinary chair. Mammamia Fur, upholstered in faux fur; Mammamia Punk and Mammamia Diamond, whose back is embellished in the first version with 398 studs and in the second one with 398 Swarovski crystals.
