LED lights: The art of enlightening

Lightness, fluidity and bright scenographic effects: the 2017 LED lamps are becoming more and more similar to light architectures, fascinating and suggestive at any sensory level. The use of LED revolutionized the illumination world, aspiring to a decorative character without neglecting the technical perfection. The chandelier has always played a protagonist role in the living, both in modern and traditional settings. Particularly suggestive is the Bolle lamp, signed by Massimo Castagna for Gallotti e Radice. Its transparent crystal balls seem to float in the air. 

It is impossible not to notice Vaasa, by Cameron Design House, that catches the eye for its geometrical elegance. A series of rings suspended in the space project the light throughout crystal diffusers. 

The charm of perfect geometries returns in the suspended polygons by Henge. The polished brass chandelier emanates warm light from the LED lights, positioned all along the structure. 

The Revolta Estiluz lamp, in its circular shape, looks like a dreamcatcher hanging from the ceiling. It provides an oniric atmosphere to the space. 

Davide Groppi's lamps are instruments for expressing beauty and tell stories.QuiQuoQua is an unedited suspension lamp with a rechargeable battery, that can be used everywhere. With an elegant structure, the lamp presents an optical element applied on a suspended parable, with a steel cable and a magnetic mechanism.

A bright canvas directly inspired to the contemporary art: Pablo is a luminous panel with RGB chromatic shades. Thanks to the remote control is possible to change the color and the intensity of light.  

Technique and emotion combine in the Altrove wall lamp, designed for Artemide by Carlotta Bevilacqua. Available in several shades, it is a white light tableau, inserted in an aluminum frame. 

Botanic rain shows a peculiar mechanism: a leaf wall in crystalline polymer reflects the light. 

A delicate rhythm of lights and shades characterizes the Chlorophilia 2 lamp, designed by Ross Lovegrove for Artemide.  The light comes out through a die-cast aluminum scenography of transparent leaves. 

Toan Nguyen signs for Vibia the Algorithm collection: LED spheres, suspended at different levels and fastened to the ceiling through a tubular structure. A marriage of art and technology, extraordinary versatile. 

An innovative design characterizes Wireflow chandelier, created by Arik Levi for Vibia. The sinuous shapes of the body, made up by aluminum tubes, are able to charm even a distracted observer. 

LED light points emerge from a structure of braided aluminum wires: the Fil de Fer suspension lamp, by Catellani & Smith, is a masterpiece of lighting design, irradiating a magical atmosphere all around. 

Tube by Lee Broom is a unique Carrara marble piece, decorated in the extremities with brushed brass bands. It belongs to the Nouveau Rebel collection, recognizable for the combination of light and material in eccentric English style. 

Lolli and Memmoli re-interpret in contemporary guise the iconic Falkland lamp, by Bruno Munari. The result is Taut, a suspension lamp, irregular in the profile, with a carved crystal weave pointing downward. 

A mushroom spontaneously growing on the wood. This is the source of inspiration for the Campana brothers, in their reinterpretation of the Fungo lamp by Lasvit. The contrast between the wood structure and the glass in greatly impressive at the sight.  

Nuvola Wall, designed by Mario Bellini for Nemo Lighting, will give you the sensation to have the sky inside your room. The wall lamp has the shape of a cloud, emanating light in a relaxing and suffused way. 

If you like by the precious and distinctly hedonistic object, discover Otero small, a Larose Guyon’s creation for CTO Lightning.  The chandelier is made up by a sheaf of brushed copper chains, involving the light source. 

The 87 collection by Bocci is a composition of suspension lamps, realized by pouring sparkling water into the overheated glass. When the glass gets cold, the air turns into microfilaments. 

Brian Rasmussen signs the Crown collection by Barovier e Toso, made of metal rings and large pastorals. This item seems to be a crown, a typical element of the venetian  tradition. Also Swing is a suspension lamp, in tempered glass, whose components give life to multiple combinations. Wang embodies the perfect synthesis of tradition and modernity: a series of geometrical elements, combined with a metallic, technological structure.

Chandelier 1 and 13 by Michael Anastassiades are minimal in their design. A black brass structure supports small, luminous spheres. Real sculptures of contemporary art. 

Seed Cloud rectangular 112 by Ochre is a triumph of natural shapes. Bronze buds house LED lightened glass drops, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere.  

Last but not least, the Illogical Allegria Chandelier is an elegant and contemporary suspended lamp belonging to the homonymous collection by GIOPAGANI, the absolute protagonist of a majestic space.
