“I spurn the productive cycles of industry. I follow the materials’ ability to express in its widest manifestations.”

“The whole world envies our artisan wisdom. It is an incredible treasure and our real strength. With my work, I try to enhance all this.”

These are the values at the core of Massimo Castagna’s creative philosophy. Architect and designer, he became famous for the Piramide laboratory, projected for the Everest-K-CNR scientific committee and realized in Nepal, on the slopes of the Everest, at 5050 meters of altitude.

Currently, Massimo Castagna deals with contract and interior design, projecting furniture for both domestic and working spaces, public and private settings. He have been artistic director of different famous companies, loke Roda or Henge, and the founder of the AD-Architettura studio.

Furnishings are not just simple object for the designer. They are travel companions, following our lives’ stages and reflecting our personal idea of beauty. The choice of using precious materials, like marsh oak or steel fabrics, and traditional working techniques, defines the unicity of its creations: objects simple in the shape, created for reflecting an idea of refined and never displayed elegance.

The Ori wall lamp perfectly reflects these characteristics. With its brushed brass surface and its sinuous profile, it resembles a jewel and becomes the focus of every space.

The same charming quiet emanates from the Cloud pouf, whose fabrics and geometries allude to the mysterious feminine world.

The majestic Bolle, signed by Galloti e Radice, with its blown crystal balls enchants the observer, providing elegance and personality to your spaces.

Intriguing optic effects characterize the Bistrot bookshelf by Henge. Realized in solid wood and burnished brass, it evokes a sense of comfort and domestic warmth.

The same reddish shades reappear in the Tele Light ceiling lamp. Its particular structure is made up by tubular elements of different dimensions, put near each other.

The Tay coffee tables, designed for Flou, complete the living with their elegant silhouette. The top, in marble or in eucalyptus wood, reveals the good taste of a recognizable but discreet identity.

They are the perfect counterpart for the homonym sofa. Essential in the design, it results highly comfortable, thanks to the soft and abundant cushions.

The Zen desk, with its audacious juxtaposition of ash and rosewood sheets, reflects the designer’s passion for materials. The alternation of different wood essences create a very peculiar pattern.
