Moooi approaches the season of international design exhibitions with four news that mix tradition, elegance and colorful irony in the Dutch brand consolidated aesthetics. Luca Nichetto, during the Canal Chair making of, applies to a classic-cut seat the profile and colors of the great boats that belonged to important and historical cities such as Venice - which evokes the noble charm thanks to the rich color palette compositions. Canal Chair can also be customized in embroideries detail and in the basic type, to adapt itself to the interiors that will host it such a tailor-made product.  

Charleston Moooi 

Also Moooi co-founder, Marcel Wanders, has been inspired from history. With the Charleston Sofa he plays with the shapes of the British-inspired sofa, tilting it on its side and placing it on a circular steel base plate. Wanders flips - as often happens in his works - the point of view and expectations of an iconic piece of furniture, in its elegant dark leather upholstery, transforming the traditional armrest into a two seat accommodation.   Wanders still show off the ironic dimension with O. the swinging wraparound seat in fabric. This iconic and three-dimensional chair in the shape of a large O. introduces a pop counterpoint in residential or contract interior, thanks to which it is possible to live the experience of sitting in a playful dimension. O. is also available in the version with the covered interior and in Terracotta, Concrete and Ligth Gray colors. O. Moooi 

Meshmatics is the great chandelier designed by Rick Tegelaarthat weaves thin metal nets to create a lighting body capable of diffusing and reflecting with its transparency the shining glows coming from the integrated LEDs, combining the aesthetic research with a great technological and craftsmanship expertise. Meshmatics with its three evanescent interpenetrated bodies is the result of a careful artisan executive study made it possible thanks to the young Dutch designer's creation of wooden shapes and specific tools that allow the metal mesh appearances.
