The partnership between  Opinion Ciatti and MOHD has its roots in the past. It is in fact in the mid-80s that Flavia Ciatti and Franca Mollura (whose furniture store will later give rise to MOHD) meet and lay the foundations for a relationship of mutual professional esteem and common ability to identify new trends and design talents . Today it is the new generation to lead the companies with Lapo Ciatti and Gianluca Mollura who have decided to recover and celebrate this ancient closeness with two limited editions.

Ptolomeo by Opinion Ciatti

The protagonists are two real Ciatti icons:  Ptolomeo and La Cima .

Ptolomeo: the freestanding bookcase designed by Bruno Rainaldi and winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 2004 is characterized by the structure that practically disappears among the books. For the occasion, it has been interpreted in a numbered series limited to 99 pieces, characterized by a black marquina marble base combined with the black structure. This material detail makes it more elegant and sculptural, perfect even in an elegant or formal context, without losing its creative and magical allure that has made it an absolute icon of quality Italian design.

The second Ciatti icon declined in a limited edition for Mohd is the La Cima coat hanger. Designed by  Lapo Ciatti , it has an ironic spirit and a material soul. In fact, it was born from the interpretation of a classic nautical rope made rigid, hooked to the ceiling and equipped with hooks and therefore a perfect decorative, functional and space-saving coat rack. Also proposed in a limited edition of 99 pieces, La Cima is presented in a total white version with white terminals and hooks but a special and precious detail: the screws in golden finish, the only color note for this candid piece of furniture.

Two icons, therefore, made even more precious and coveted by small author details that make the difference, but with discretion. “We are very happy for this collaboration with Opinion Ciatti, a partnership that originates from the sharing of common values, the desire for innovation and the curiosity to load the world of design with products of superior excellence" says Gianluca Mollura, CEO of Mohd.
