"The other conversation” is the prophetic name of Cassina’s new campaign, whose strength resides in the meeting of different expressive shapes. Architecture and design combine their languages to generate an incredibly strong potential, able to arouse suggestions in the observer.

The audacious project sees some of the brand’s best creations located in highly impressive settings, projected by renowned international architects and situated in different parts of the world. It has been conceived as an emotional and cultural travel, promoting the dialogue among seemingly distant styles, worlds and époques. 

The Shore House, projected by the Mount Fuji Architects studio, is situated in Kanagawa, Japan.  Rough wooden beams start from the soil and rise up to the sky, as to indicate an instinct to overcome the limits, or the desire to find a connection among the environment, the house and all its material components. According to the creators, an object’s value also depends on the dialogue it is able establish with the other elements in the space. The Shore House hosts the 202 Otto sofa, by Piero Lissoni, and the Maralunga sofa, by Vico Magistretti.  

The Rio side table, with its peculiar shape resembling the slices of a cake, is characterized by an audacious juxtaposition of different materials, like marble and wood, creating lovely combinations.

The 836 Tre pezzi wool, instead, has a more funny nature. Its upholstery resembles the animals of the Arctic zones’ pelt.

  

With its warm colors and the vintage appearance, the Indochine Armchair brings a welcoming atmosphere and a refined touch to the room. 

Herman Rosa realized the atelier that brings his name in Munich, Germany. The building, edified after the Great War, arises in a wide place of nature, in which the architect found the perfect habitat for his workspace. The project points to the authenticity of materials. It is inspired to an idea of architecture “shaping” and “drawing” the space, in order to understand it and possess it, becoming at the same time part of it.  

The LC14 Tabouret Maison du Brasil stools, in solid durmast, projected in 1959 by Le Gorbusier, are inspired by the image of a whisky box, abandoned on the water edge. It is possible to realize original structure by wedging them to one another.

Thanks to the variegated selection of hues and the peculiarity of its shapes, the 637 Utrect armchair testifies a modern and original style.

The Balint House, realized by the Fran Silvestre Arquitectos studio in Valencia, believes in the possibility to save tradition, employing it in a modern context. It conceives an idea of design free from binding categorizations and open to the more wide interpretations. 

If you are looking for originality, the 367 Hola chair is the perfect solution for your living. Shades and materials combine to an ultramodern aspect, evoking the interior of a spaceship. 

The 149 9 collection of coffee tables, compact and basic in the shape, gives an idea of strength, equilibrium and decorum. 

Sobriety goes hand in hand with originality in the 550 Beam Sofa, projected by Patricia Urquiola. The different portions have been made autonomous from one another and free to be placed to one’s liking.
