Choosing vintage items is more than a trend, it's a way to feel connected to a timeless style that dates back to the first half of 900, when the avant-garde movements and the cultural revolutions create the basis of Modern style. Establishing an important collaboration between industry and design, they signed a series of projects specifically conceived for mass production.

In these turbulent decades, France produced important works of art that are now cult items for their timeless beauty and universal style.

Bernard Albin Gras and Jean-Louis Domecq designed some lamps for the office, taking their inspiration from the same desire, to create a style and a technology that could defy time and be functional for everyone. The Lampe Gras and the Jieldé lamps were created, respectively, in 1922 in Paris and in 1950 in Lione. They were joined by a strong character and a simple and sturdy steel structure.

At first, the  Jieldè  lamps were named "Standard". They stood out for their semicircular shape and were made of small bowls topped with a distinctive metallic ring and numbered one by one. They are still in production and are available in a wide variety of models: Table lamps, suspension lamps, floor lamps, with one or more arms and in many colours. 

Similarly, the  Lampe Gras  comes in a great variety of versions, all numbered and characterised by a conical shape. They are all made of metal and are available in many colours, today also in the brand new white trim and copper finishes. The Lampe Gras is part of the great family DCW édition which includes the legendary  Mantis  Collection by Bernard Schottlander , veritable miniature sculptures, and the  Surpil  Chair by Julien-Henri Porché.

Works of art created by the pioneers of the industrial revolution, veritable cult items that made the history of European design and still fascinate us with their simplicity.
