The origins of the lighting brand date back to 1939, with the creation of Arteluce by Gino Sarfatti, who first introduced design to the lighting industry. With the second Sarfatti generation, the company became Luceplan in 1978 and began to merge design and technology. Alessandro Sarfatti, Gino's grandson, created Astep with the aim of combining new technologies and lifestyle with respect for people, objects and the environment, honoring tradition and enhancing the warmth of the modern home.
