The Sampei 230 floor lamp by Davide Groppi and Enzo Calabrese made its debut in 2011 and was an immediate success. Made of metal and fiberglass with an adjustable reflector.
Winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 2014, the Sampei lamp by Davide Groppi is a special project, an authentic ready-made piece. Designed by Enzo Calabrese and Davide Groppi, this floor lamp is based on the idea of a fishing rod: a strong and meaningful metaphor. Since ancient times, fishing has symbolized the idea of never-ending search and curiosity. The Sampei 230 lamp expresses this concept with its elegant and delicate silhouette, characterized by a simple but effective design: a small head atop a long, thin carbon fiber stem. At the slightest adjustment, the Sampei 230 floor lamp reacts with a swaying movement, also recalling bamboo canes or a willow tree floating on a light breeze. Its presence gives the space a magical and fascinating mood, both when it is on and when it is off. A charm that has quickly made it a great lighting icon.

You can change your mind
