The brand was founded in 1870 by Benvenuto Acerbis in the Seriana Valley of Bergamo. Well-known for its dialogue between technology and deep material knowledge, the firm boasts many famous names who have signed its designs: Vico Magistretti, Nanda Vigo, Gianfranco Frattini, Giotto Stoppino, Massimo and Lella Vignelli. Today, Acerbis has been acquired by MDF Italia, which has entrusted the creative direction to Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces.
