140 Cotone Slim is a chair signed by the designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the Cassina brand. A family of furnishing elements distinguished by the rigidity and modernity of the two most famous brothers in international design.

Cotone is a collection that counts chairs, armchairs and tables with immediate simplicity in design and great impact. Merit of the minimalist line and the wise choice of materials, which makes the collection perfect in any type of environment. Structure with extruded aluminum frame characterized by sophisticated industrial details, emblem of Cassina's mastery of construction, the internal padding in polyurethane foam is covered in leather or fabric but without the feather quilt, which characterizes the 140 Cotone model. The anodised frame is available in the same color range as the other furniture in the collection.

Formal perfection, clear lines and creative freedom - these is Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec's magic formula. Born respectively in 1971 and 1976, they both graduated in Art and founded their own studio at the end of the 90s. Unity makes strenght - their Cuisine Déstructurée caught Giulio Cappellini's eye, so they received the first industrial design commissions and went on to impose themselves on the international scene thanks to a collaboration with Vitra. Bouroullec brothers work for some of the most important international design brands, such as Ligne Roset, Flos, Magis and Mattiazzi and are able to join essential shapes with innovative materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing - this allowed them to win, among other prizes, the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2016 in the category "Best Designers of the Year".
