Domenico Parisi, nicknamed Ico, was born in Palermo in September 1916 of Sicilian parents who lived in Como. Parisi's work became increasingly prolific from the 1950s, as he designed furniture, first for one-off pieces with artisans in Brianza and later for industrial production with companies such as Cassina.
